Members of the Port Macquarie Players Theatre are more than a little relieved to have received funding for a new air-conditioning system from the state government.
$71-thousand will be put towards replacing the existing one, which is more than 30 years old.
“To sit in the theatre for two hours and watch a show we want our patrons to be comfortable so we feel it’s really important for our patrons but also for our actors on stage who are under very hot stage lights” – Jan Cook, Port Macquarie’s Players Theatre Treasurer
Over the years, more than 300,000 people have enjoyed plays, musicals, pantomimes and festivals at the Players Theatre.
