Wyong has caused a huge upset in Newcastle Rugby League, hammering the understrength Cessnock Goannas.
Wests continued its recent revival against Lakes,
Central edged out the Sharks, Macquarie got home against Maitland.
The Scorpions grabbed the first try with a move that started on their own 20, and eventually ended with Nathan Cantor.
The Pickers had the chance to draw level, but Eni Folau was somehow held up.
Chad Chandler soon made them pay, as Macquarie doubled its lead.
Another runaway try to Cantor pushed the Scorpions further in front, before Adam Swadling’s effort capped off a great first half.
