OPERATOR PULLS OUT OF GUNNEDAH KOALA PARK PROJECT

The Gunnedah koala park is without a future operator.

Queensland based tourism company CaPTA Group, has left the project after suffering a huge financial loss due to the pandemic.

Gunnedah Shire Council is now looking at alternative options for the multi-million dollar project.

The park is set to include a koala hospital and sanctuary, a petting zoo, and a wildlife sanctuary walk.
