Despite concerns over covid fragments being found in sewage at Byron Bay, the Deputy Premier has flagged restrictions on the Far North Coast could be lifted on September 10.
There are currently no active cases in the region.
Health authorities are encouraging anyone with the mildest of symptoms to get tested – with fears covid could be circulating, undetected in the community.
