GAS PROJECT APPROVAL TO BE ARGUED IN LAND AND ENVIRONMENT COURT

An appeal against the approval of the controversial Narrabri Gas Project will be heard in the Land and Environment Court next week.

The $3.6-billion project was given the go ahead by the Independent Planning Commission in September last year.

However, the Environmental Defenders Office will appeal that decision on behalf of landholders.

The hearings will take place online from Monday through to Wednesday.

Those wanting to sit in on proceedings can register can do so, by contacting the Land and Environment Court.
