DIAMOND BEACH SHARK ATTACK CALLOUT A FALSE ALARM

Emergency services raced to Diamond Beach this morning, to reports of a possible shark attack.

Police officers, paramedics and surf life savers combed over the beach just after 10.30 but determined the call was a false alarm.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter also searched the area but found no evidence of an attack.

Despite all of the action – it didn’t stop nearly a dozen surfers catching a wave.
