Surfers, swimmers and boaties are being urged to stay cautious out on the water, with deceptively powerful surf conditions predicted to last until early tomorrow morning.
South-facing beaches will cop the brunt, with swell of around three metres anticipated in some parts.
Conditions are expected to ease later in the day.
