16 NEW COVID CASES IN NSW

16 new local cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in New South Wales overnight, with most already in isolation for their full infectious period.

Only three of today’s cases were in the community while infectious.

These results come from more than 45,000 tests.

The dip in cases is promising after the state recorded its highest daily case total yesterday.

However, an outbreak at a nursing home in Sydney’s north-west has grown, with three vaccinated residents and another staff member testing positive.

The facility has been in full lockdown since Friday.
