A young driver’s given new meaning to the term “drive through”, after accidentally crashing his car into a shop-front at Southport this morning.
Emergency crews were called to the Zaraffas coffee shop, on Ferry Road, just after 7am.
“We believe that the driver of the vehicle possibly put it into the wrong gear at the time, rather than hitting the R for reverse he’s hit the D for drive.”
There were around four people inside at the time, but no one was injured.
The driver was treated for shock at the scene.
