THE FROCK SWAP: GIVING NEW LIFE TO OLD CLOTHES

A new life for an old dress, from handmade vintage, or a more modern number, nothing was off-limits.

Today’s Frock Swap at the Tamworth Regional Gallery saw 40 women trading the old out for the new.

“We just wanted to have a really fun kind of shopping event, where people can swap clothes, there’s no money exchanged. It’s literally just bring in something old that you are ready to donate and take something from the racks.”

The event coincides with the Dressmaker exhibit, a taste of high fashion in Tamworth.

While this event is the first of its kind, it won’t be the last – the frock swap is being held again on the 19th of June.
