VISITING VOLUNTEERS BOLSTER FLOOD CLEANUP

Busloads of volunteers spent their Sunday cleaning up and repairing the last of Lismore’s flood damaged homes and businesses.
700 Church of Christ parishoners, some who’d travelled from Sydney and Melbourne spent the day helping locals.
“We are doing this to help our fellow man, to show our for them – that we are very willing to help them.”
“We have electricians, we have plumbers, we have some who work in carpentry.”
“It’s great that they contacted us and we’ve been able to use the helping hands people to coordinate everything.”
Volunteers also distributed bags of donations to those in need.
