Construction will soon commence on a vital new road link in South Lismore, after the state government pledged the remaining funds needed for the Wilson Street bridge.
The government will contribute $875,000 towards the long-awaited project.
Spanning Hollingworth Creek, the bridge will connect the area’s industrial estate to the CBD, relieving traffic congestion.
The bridge has a total price tag of two-and-a-half million dollars.
