POLICE SUSPECT ARMIDALE ARMED ROBBERIES ARE LINKED

Police have launched an investigation after an armed robbery in Armidale overnight.

Officers allege a man entered Dominos on Queen Elizabeth Drive just before 10pm, armed with a knife.

No one was injured, and he fled empty handed.

It comes after a similar incident was reported at a Dumaresq Street business on Saturday night.

“Although at this point we can’t say definitively that they’re connected, the very face that they’re such unusual offences for Armidale, tells us that it’s more likely than not that these two offences are connected,” Acting Superintendent Roger Best.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
