EARLY CAMPERS STAKE OUT BEST SPOTS AHEAD OF COUNTRY MUSIC

It’s still almost three weeks away, but eager campers have already started to roll in to town for the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Setting up their home away from home at Riverside Ovals – many are from interstate.

Caravan parks are also filling up, while these campers at Riverside will have to keep moving around until Tamworth Regional Council officially opens the grounds up in a few weeks’ time.

But they say there’s strength in numbers – the influx of holiday makers usually seeing Council open the facilities earlier.

There’s around 1300 sites, expected to fill up before the start of the festival on January 18.
