A man from Queensland has died after being pulled from the water unconscious near Byron Bay.
The 59-year-old was dragged to shore by surfers, before Emergency crews arrived at Suffolk Park Beach around 12:30 yesterday.
They performed CPR, but the man died at the scene.
Police are investigating.
