Lismore City Council is encouraging the indigenous community to travel for free on its late night bus service.
One thousand tickets are being given away.
“What we are hoping is that to give out free tickets we’ll see how beneficial the Late Nighter is. Basically, they will go on to use the Late Nighter on a Saturday night for the low cost of three dollars.”
The bus tickets can be picked up from the Lismore courthouse or the Attorney General’s office.
“We’ve basically managed to fit in with licensed premises and the closing of the last place in Lismore which is around about three o’clock to three thirty.”
