Brisbane will bid to host the Olympics in 2032 and if it’s successful, the Northern Rivers stands to benefit.
Athletes would have access to the region’s state-of-the-art training facilities – some of which are the best in the southern hemisphere.
Lismore City Council says Olympians would be well catered for.
“Albert park baseball and softball facilities are the best in Oceania, our hockey facilities, to have two synthetic hockey fields in our region is very unique for a regional city.”
