GOSFORD REGIONAL LIBRARY DA TO BE LODGED

Central Coast Council has also confirmed it will be lodging a development application this week to start work on the new Gosford Regional Library.

It will also begin the tender process to start the demolition of the library’s future site on Donnison Street.

“It’s been funded over many years from special levies and grants from all levels of government and it’s important that it goes ahead.” – DICK PERSSON – COUNCIL ADMINISTRATOR

The project is expected to cost $26-million

Meanwhile, the former-Gosford City Council’s ‘Nuclear Free Policy” will remain in place.

Administrator Dick Person chose last night not to revoke it – after a council report was put forward recommending the policy be changed.

The document argued that any concerns about the handling and mining of radioactive materials could be dealt with under heavy state and federal regulations.
