GOLFERS HIT THE FAIRWAYS FOR CHARITY DAY

More than 150 golfers took to the fairways, for one of Taree’s most popular golf days.

The Australia Day Rotary charity golf tournament is known for being laid-back – players don’t need an official handicap.

But officials took pains to make it COVID-safe.

It raises money for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service and the Australian Children’s Music Foundation – among other worthwhile causes.
