Police charge man following investigation into break-in near Gunnedah

A 30-year-old remains behind bars over a break-in near Gunnedah last year.

It’s alleged the man stole firearms, jewelery and cigarettes from a property on Goolhi Road at Mary’s Mount in mid-November.

On Friday November 17, police were patrolling High Street, Gunnedah when checks revealed a red Toyota Echo parked on the side of the road displayed the incorrect number plates.

Police seized the vehicle and during a search they located ammunition, and multiple personal items from the earlier break-in.

Police arrested the man at a Herbert Street home yesterday morning.
