Newcastle set for $115 renewable energy infrastructure storage hub

The state government has made a $100-million pledge, designed to ensure Newcastle plays a key part in the rollout of renewable energy.

It will see components stored at the former BHP Steelworks site – a plan quickly slammed by the Coalition.
