GAV’S WEATHER | HEAT QUICKLY RETURNS TO THE HUNTER

The most significant weather event visible on the satellite is the strong front sweeping across the south-west corner of Western Australia.

We are dealing with another burst of heat; the air mass is so hot and dry, no cloud still can’t form over the centre or eastern half of the nation.

The heat will spill across the local region as the pre-frontal north-westerly winds kick back in.

Another large high will move out over the Tasman and southern Coral Sea thanks to the strong front crossing the Bight.

This is going to allow a strong, north-westerly airflow to develop over eastern Australia, and this will force the heat from the nations centre to the coast.

The strongest flow with be via Hunter Valley, driving up temperatures quickly after last night’s southerly.

The coast will receive strong sea breezes, capping off temperatures.

The north-west will remain extremely hot.
