Newcastle went a little ‘poke-crazy’ last night, for the city’s first Pokemon Go walk.
A staggering 12-hundred trainers braved chilly conditions to scour the streets, mobile phones in hand, in the quest to ‘catch ’em all’.
There was even a guest appearance from Ash’s electric side kick.
“we had some people here with a boom box that was playing the Pokemon theme song, we had people doing sing-a-longs, people dressed up in onesies, we had a Pikachu rock up.”
Organisers say they’re planning another walk, given its resounding success.
