The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for Gosford and Wyong tonight.
Severe storms in Sydney are moving northeast, and are expected to reach Calga, Woy Woy and Mona Vale by around 5.30pm.
Large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding are possible.
The SES is advising people in the area to move cars under cover, keep clear of creeks and storm drains, and stay indoors.
