The state government has forked out more than $800,000 to upgrade a deadly stretch of road at Belmont North.
A raised concrete barrier will be built along the median strip, on the Pacific Highway, between Avonlea Street and Violent Town Road.
A woman died there last May when a car crossed to the wrong side of the road.
