GAV’S WEATHER | WILD WINTER WEATHER ON THE WAY

One of the most significant early season cold fronts is impacting south-east Australia tonight.

Ahead of it, most of the nation is cloud-free and quite mild during the day, but the nights have certainly been cold.

The huge front is going to take control of the weather across the south-east for the rest of the week.

As the front sweeps across New South Wales, a large rain band with storms embedded in it will begin to affect the region late tomorrow.

The west coast will have its own weather system, delivering a rare event where both sides of the country get wild weather at the same time.

Tomorrow, the northerly winds will increase along with the cloud cover, as the rain band approaches and starts to affect the region from late tomorrow.

Things will get wild from Wednesday, with snow expected to fall along the northern New South Wales range, into southern Queensland.
