While figures show pub violence is generally falling across the state, two Newcastle venues have still made the government’s half-yearly violent venues list.
The Sydney Junction Hotel at Hamilton tops the list, recording 25 incidents over a 12-month period, while Newcastle’s King Street Hotel had 13.
Liquor and Gaming says that, since the surveys began 10 years ago, recorded incidents have dropped by more than 80 per cent.
