An Indigenous teenager is suing the state of New South Wales, after he was allegedly assaulted by police in Casino last year.
The incident was captured on camera just after midnight on the 26th of September, when the 17-year-old was walking down the town’s main street.
He’s seeking damages for false imprisonment and battery.
A pre-trial hearing will get underway in Lismore District Court next week.
