13 YEARS ON FROM SOMERSBY TRAGEDY

The storm which caused the grounding of the Pasha Bulker also battered the Central Coast with tragic consequence.

During the 2007 storm, a family of five were killed at Somersby, when a section of the Old Pacific Highway collapsed, causing their car to plummet into Piles Creek.

Today- fresh flowers were placed at memorial in honour of the tragedy.

The former Gosford City Council was later found responsible for the deaths.

The replacement bridge was named the Bragg-Holt Bridge, in honour of the family.
