MAN CHARGED AFTER GOSFORD STABBING

A man will face Newcastle Local Court today following an alleged domestic-related stabbing on the Central Coast.

Just before 10:30pm on Friday (17 April), an 18-year-old drove to Gosford to pick up a man, known to her.

Police said the pair had an argument as they drove along Showground road, the 21-year-old man than allegedly stabbed the woman in the chest, arm and leg.

The woman pulled over and the man fled the scene into nearby bushland.

The woman was treated by emergency services and transported to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.

Following inquiries, Police arrested the 21-year-old at a Wyoming home about 9:30pm yesterday (Saturday 18 April).

He was taken to Woy Woy Police Station and charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV), and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.
