MAN CHARGED OVER IMPERSONATING AFP OFFICER TWICE

A man has been charged with impersonating a federal police officer in the Northern Rivers.

It’s alleged the 62-year-old told employees at a Casino supermarket he was a member of the Australian Federal Police and was there to enforce COVID-19 health laws.

He allegedly did the same thing, at a different store, the next day.

The man is due to appear at Casino Local Court in July.
