TWO MAJOR ROADS TO GET UPGRADED IN TAREE’S CBD

Two roads in Taree are getting a safety upgrade.

$1-million in federal and council funds will be spent revamping Pulteney Street, while $500,000 will be used to improve Albert Street, just outside Taree High School.

“These local roads especially near schools that are deteriorating this one here on Albert street has the bus drop off zone for the high school and the region so safer roads smoother surfaces better drainages very important,” said Rhett Pattison.

With thousands of vehicles using the streets every day, the council says the upgrades will extend their life by decades.
