DAM LEVELS INCREASE BUT LEVEL 2 RESTRICTIONS REMAIN

The weekend deluge has replenished Hunter dams, although there hasn’t been enough yet to see water restrictions lifted.

Over the past three days, more than 100 milimetres of rain fell on the catchment, pushing the region’s storage level up to 58 per cent but level two restrictions remain in place.

Hunter Water will reassess the situation when dam levels rise above 60 per cent.
