LIFELINE LOOKING FOR MORE CRISIS VOLUNTEERS

Many people find joy in Christmas, but for some it’s a difficult time of year.

Lifeline provides a vital listening ear and this holiday season, call centres across the country are expected to receive more than 2,000 calls a day.

“We sadly don’t get to answer every call to the Lifeline service, one way to deal with that is to have more volunteers so we’re actively recruiting for people to com eon in the new year. Every volunteer I talk to say it’s a rewarding experience,” said Rob Sams.

The training course runs for 13-weeks.

If you or anyone you know needs help, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
