TEENAGER AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL AFTER CLIFF FALL

A teenage girl is recovering in hospital, after falling on to rocks at Catherine Hill Bay this afternoon.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to the area just after 2pm, after reports the 17-year-old was seriously injured from jumping off cliffs into the water.

It’s understood the girl stumbled and fell up to 15 metres while jumping.

Paramedics treated her for several injuries including fractures at the scene, before she was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
