More than 600 netballers, from across the mid north coast did battle in Port Macquarie over the weekend, as part of the annual Hastings Cup Gala Day.
Playing in age groups from the under sixes to veterans, 69 teams rotated on the courts throughout the day, putting into practice the skills they’d learned over the winter season.
It was a massive undertaking for the Hastings Valley Netball Association, coordinating so many matches, but according to organisers, the event went off without a hitch.
The Hastings Cup was played out between two Wauchope Open teams, with the Pumas eventually coming away with the win in extra time.
