ROADSIDE BREATH TEST LEADS TO DISCOVERY OF 250 GRAMS OF MDMA IN NEWCASTLE

A 21-year-old man has been charged over commercial drug supply in the Newcastle area.

At around 1am (Saturday 16 November) Newcastle police stopped a vehicle on Lambton Road, New Lambton, for a random breath test.

After speaking to the man, police decided to search him and the vehicle.

During the search, officers allegedly found cash, 64 capsules of MDMA. And 25 pressed blue tablets.

The man was arrested and taken to Waratah Police Station.

Police then searched the man’s home at Lambton, finding more MDMA, and large amounts of cash.

In total, over 250 grams of MDMA was found.

The man was charged with prohibited drug supply and was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court today.
