The Lake Cathie community is still on edge, after a bushfire came dangerously close to homes overnight.
It’s been upgraded to a ‘Watch and Act’ level this morning, amid strong winds.
Initial reports suggest no homes have been destroyed, though some residents have reported ember attacks.
It’s scorched more than 2020 hectares and continues to spread.
