UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE ACCOMMODATION EXPOSURE SITE FOR 11 DAYS

University of Newcastle students are on high alert after three students tested positive to COVID-19.
The International House on the Callaghan Campus has now been listed as an exposure site.
Residents in any block of the International House on the Callaghan Campus from Wednesday July 28 to yesterday August 7 are now considered close contacts.
The university said in a statement online that impacted students, who have been on campus at any time across the past 11 days, will be required to isolate in their apartment block until August 21.
They are being supported by the University and NSW Health.
Visitors are not being considered close contacts unless someone they specifically visited becomes a known case.
They’re being asked to monitor for symptoms, get tested if they emerge, and isolate until they get a negative result.
