MAN AND TEENAGER ARRESTED OVER POLICE CHASE
A man and a teenage girl have been arrested, after allegedly ramming a police car and being caught with drugs and weapons on the far north coast.
Police were called to Smiths Creek address at about 12.30 this afternoon after reports of a disturbance, and began following a silver Holden Commodore after it was driven off at speed.
At one point, the 28-year-old male driver of the Commodore allegedly rammed a police car, before going down an embankment.
He then allegedly fled on foot into nearby bushland.
Officers pursued him, and used pepper spray, before arresting him.
A 14-year-old female passenger was also arrested for breach of bail offences.
Police searched the car and allegedly found methylamphetamine, ammunition, cash, a taser, and several weapons including tomahawks, knives and a machete.
Both are facing court.
