POLICE LOCKDOWN LISMORE’S SOUTHERN CROSS UNIVERSITY

UPDATE | Police say Southern Cross University’s Lismore campus was placed into lockdown at around 1:30 this afternoon, after the University received threatening phone calls.

Southern Cross University’s Lismore campus is in emergency lockdown, with members of the public asked to avoid the area.

Officers from nearby Ballina and Casino have been called to the campus, with students and staff advised to remain inside.

The nearby high school is also in lockdown.

There have been no reports of injury or shots fired.
