PIPELINE TO FLOOD LINFIELD PARK FIRE TO ARRIVE MONDAY

Plans to flood the Linfield Park fire have hit a hurdle, with the remaining three hundred metres of pipeline needed to flood the area, now not arriving until tomorrow.

More than two-kilometres of pipeline is already in place, which will allow the Rural Fire Service to flood the burning wetland with reclaimed water.

30-megalitres of water will be directed onto the fire ground which has been burning for a month.
