A 25-year-old Maryland man has been charged over a vandalism attack on a Wallsend mosque in January.
Security cameras captured people throwing objects at the building, and trying to kick down the door as a group of worshippers was inside.
The 25-year-old will face charges of intimidation, malicious damage and trespass when the case goes to court on April 10.
Police expect to speak to another man over the incident, when he returns from interstate.
