GAV’S WEATHER | WINTER RETURNS

For most of the country it’s still sunny and dry but across the south east, the first of a succession of strong fronts is now having an impact.

The strong fronts will generate rain and snow while dropping temperatures locally for the weekend.

You can see numerous lows joining together making the strongest, coldest outbreak of the year so far.

This will only produce limited rain locally falling as snow along the northern New South Wales ranges.

The dry run of mild winter days will come to an end and the chills of August will finally move in delivering snow and a very cold, windy weekend.
