A man is on the run following a brazen armed robbery of a service station in the state’s Northern Tablelands.
Around 2pm on Tuesday, a man stormed the shop on Armidale’s Marsh Street, threatening the console operator with a knife, demanding money.
The culprit managed to make-off with lollies and drinks.
The man is described as of Aboriginal appearance, about 180 centimetres, slim or medium build, wearing dark clothing with a black and white balaclava covering the lower part of his face.
New England Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
