A 30-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the bushfire burning at Kurri Kurri.
He’s been taken to Maitland Police Station where he’s assisting police with their inquiries.
Firefighters are still working to contain the blaze near Lang Street and Boundary Road, while waterbombing aircraft are assisting them from above.
The Rural Fire Service has established containment lines and no evacuations are in place.
An advice warning remains in place for residents.
