Pedestrians were lucky to walk away uninjured after a ute driver lost control and crashed into a number of cars in Byron Bay.
Witnesses have told of the moment the Ford became airborne after clipping a roundabout on Lawson Street, late on Friday afternoon.
The driver was arrested at the scene and taken to Byron Bay Police Station, where he was charged with driving in a dangerous manner.
He’s due back in court next month having been granted conditional bail.
