NATIONAL “HEADSPACE” DAY SHINES LIGHT ON YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH

The health and well-being of young people has been in the spotlight today.
National “Headspace Day” is held every October, to let all youth know, they’re never alone.
In Tamworth, support workers organised a number of events, including an online trivia session, to meet locals and get them talking.
It follows a spike in mental health concerns during the pandemic.
“Really, we’re trying to create that area where we can talk openly about things – and have fun! That’s really important.”
If you, or anyone you know needs urgent support – contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
