Lake Macquarie’s Tom Edwards made up plenty of ground, but still finished just outside the top 20 at the latest World Supersport 300 round in Italy.
Starting from 35th on the grid, the Caves Beach teenager avoided some early carnage to climb as high as 13th mid-race, but he eventually slipped back.
The next round is in England in two weeks.
