UMINA BIKE SHOP VICTIM OF EARLY MORNING RAM-RAID

Charges have been laid against a 42-year-old man, who was allegedly behind a ram-raid on the Central Coast on Saturday.

The man was arrested on Alfred Street at Umina at around 7 o’clock in the morning, after police say he was spotted trying to break into a car.

It’s alleged earlier that morning he’d driven a black 4WD through the front of a local bicycle store and stole an electric bike.

The 4WD was later found abandoned in a nearby carpark.

Following his arrest, officers searched a home on Sylvania Road, where they located the stolen bike.

He was charged with a total of 22 offences, including causing malicious damage and resisting arrest.
